A rough few weeks....

Featured Replies

Hmm..wonder if anyone wondered what happened to me? :( Car crashes, job losses, and computers going bye bye....made for an interesting last few weeks.... Starts with a nice little bug that just killed my computer....not sure where it came from- don't hit up the porn sites hard core like that.... :( <_< A few days later, in the same day, both my brother and a good friend of mine are involved in major accidents...as their cars are both hit by big trucks.. (both in Cavaliers?! ) My brother..T-boned hard by a early 90s F-150 with no lights on at night... pieces of the car as much as a 100 ft away...... My good friend...rear ended by a newer Ram..one of her doors fell off after the hit.... Happy news in this- Both walked away with bumps and bruises.... :) And my Buddy at Ford loses his job at the end of this month...found out right before X-mas...... Found out my job is in danger....as possible layoffs are looming (no, I don't work at Ford)....... Two people have hit my wife's car (once with me in it)-but both were love taps.. no damage at all... Still things to be thankful for, but rough none the less..... (Ok, done ranting now.... :P ) Oh, an did I say I was back? :P
Good to have back and nice to hear your brother and friend are alright. In the words of Savage Garden, "keep that chin up, you'll be all right." Maybe start looking for another job in the meantime.
you were notably absent for the past few weeks, so, ya, your presence was missed here. The accidents sound really traumatic; the best thing is that they are okay and that they don't let this traumatic experience rob them of thier peace and sanity. A part of them might always fear, but they have to be determined to defeat that part as gradually as they can. I hope things pick up for you in the job department. Having recently left my job I am now forced to put myself back into the search mode, but the good thing is now I get to start fresh.
geeze Dave ? Glad everyones alright but you know I hate to hear about that job thing. I did notice a vacant spot in some posts.
Good to see you're back and everybody's okay. Happy posting! :CG_all:
Wow... sounds like the luckiest unluckiest week ever. The biggest tragedy is probably your friend loosing his job. :( Nice to have you back, hope things start looking up!

Thanks guys...Even though all the crazy stuff, I try to stay postitive. B) Looking forward to a good year.... :)
Aye...sorry you've had such a rough few weeks, dave, but I know how "rough weeks" go ... I've been out of work since December 1 with abdominal pains. Had gallbladder removal surgery December 30 ... and I'm still in pain :(.

Glad to see you back and posting!

Ouch! Isn't there anything that they can give you for the pain? :(
I hope you feel better ...... :)

Well, I'm taking Durvacet (er....that doesn't sound 100% correct, but close) for the pain. Met with the surgeon today for the follow-up ... he isn't too concerned about the pain, since they had to move my pacemaker wires during the surgery to make sure the gallbladder was removed. He thinks the pain is just from the probing around "in there" while they were taking out the gallbladder ... he says the gallbladder was worse than they thought. I'm to call him next Wednesday if I'm still in pain....

I return to work Jan 16.....
