October 28, 200916 yr ... a Solstice coupe "in the wild" ? I really want to check one out up close. Yes, I have test driven one.
October 28, 200916 yr theres a white $28K one on the pontiac lot in my town... i cant believe its just sitting there still...
October 28, 200916 yr Actually... When I was promoting the car show I did for Relay For Life this year, I spotted a beautiful GXP coupe in the wild. I quickly pulled the car over and stuck a flyer inside their car. (It was at a park and the windows were down) Not only did they participate in my show, they're now avid car show attendees in the area. Here's a picture that's in the gallery from my show: http://www.cruisincarolinamagazine.com/con...-nc-6-13-09-041 Edited October 28, 200916 yr by FUTURE_OF_GM
October 28, 200916 yr I own one, of course it's at University of Notre Dame with my daughter, but rumor has it I own a house close to where they were born ...
October 28, 200916 yr Wow... That red one in front there is gorgeous. I think I remember reading that GM would only make roughly 1200 coupes. And that off the 1200, only 400 or so would be RPO Solsti. (As opposed to GXP) There is NO WAY that this WONT be a collectors item.
October 28, 200916 yr Wonder if that roof would fit on a Sky and what it would look like? It won't. I talked to the engineers and the contours of the two trunks are different enough that the Solstice roof won't graft onto the Sky. The said they "were working on something", but we all know how that turned out. I did see one and sit in one at the NYIAS08 press days.

A Sky coupe w/ a greenhouse similar to the Corvette could have been interesting.
October 28, 200916 yr Those Stryker blue ones might be the rarest ones. One gorgeous vehicle that GM did not let have its prime time.
October 29, 200916 yr Author You guys all know I'm not into small cars, but I'd really like to have one of these. Just beautiful.
October 29, 200916 yr Author Kinda funny that I haven't seen any here, stuff usually shows up pretty fast around here. And, Wilmington isn't far. I guess I should go scope out the dealers some Sunday.
October 29, 200916 yr Yup, definitely a future collector's item. Only 4800 2009 Solstices were built, so I can't imagine more than 2000 coupes were produced. Purchasing a Solstice coupe and keeping the miles off it should make some investors big bucks in the future.
October 29, 200916 yr Author They cancelled the dark green color before coupe production started, didn't they? I liked that color.
October 29, 200916 yr Local BPG dealer had a metallic red/automatic GXP... a true stunner from every angle.
November 30, 200916 yr <a href="http://www.thompsonsales.com/VehicleDetails/449396613" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Linkypoo</a> 7100 miles, $32k and change Still there, joined by this one.
November 30, 200916 yr Camino, your Solstice came through my local Pontiac dealer right before the edn of he Pontiac era-Manual Shift Coupe, GXP, black on black. SWEET car. Chris
November 30, 200916 yr Author If I had the cash, I might have lots of driveway to shovel this winter. Probably better that I don't have enough to buy one.
November 30, 200916 yr Local dealer had a silver coupe up on one of those 'lookit-me' racks about 2 months ago, it sold in about 2 weeks. Haven't noticed another yet.
