January 6, 200620 yr I can't remember if we already had a thread about this, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. Anyway, here's some unordinary police vehicles: 2001 Lincoln Navigator - Nebraska State Patrol 1999 Chrysler New Yorker in Boyd, NE 1993 Plymouth Acclaim - Compton, CA Community College 1990 Ford Probe - Arizona Highway Patrol 1997 Dodge Intrepid - Ranchester, Wyoming 1993 Eagle Vision - Lyndhurst, NJ 1980 Mercury Zephyr 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis - Grove, NE 1979 Mercury Cougar sedan - Missouri State Patrol 1976 Pontiac LeMans - Missouri State Patrol
January 6, 200620 yr i have seen a park avenue as a police car before we have mustangs, impalas, and crown vics here.
January 7, 200620 yr wow, you guys found some really oddball squad cars.....fun! I've posted these before probably..but here's a couple:
January 7, 200620 yr We have all kinds here in Rawlins...Crown Vics, Impalas, Intrepids, Cherokees, Durangos, one Trailblazer, and one 3rd gen Camaro.
January 7, 200620 yr To use a foreign made car as a police car is unforgivable and should be a federal crime in and of itself. Esp. a freeking Camry. Get the fuck out, do not pass go do not colect $200, who ever made that call should be fired Imediately!
January 7, 200620 yr Nothing really worth posting. FHP runs stealth Marauders, Pinellas Sheriff has a few second-gen Intrepids, and Largo used to have bubble Tauruses for the bike cops. That's about it. I saw an old Pinellas Sheriff Dept-colored squad car, a 60-something Pontiac (Bonneville?). Pretty neat.
January 7, 200620 yr Here are some odd balls, not from my area particular, but they are kinda cool however i did out run an undercover cop in a mustang, but he didnt have a good shot, i was in a faster car, and knew the back roads very very well
January 7, 200620 yr WMJ that last one reminds me of something that happened a couple weeks ago. The local police confiscated one of our car toppers and were going to bring it back to our store, they drove the entire 5 or so miles across town with the topper on top of the squad car.
January 7, 200620 yr HA! That's funny. during Senior Week down at Ocean City, MD, someone took a maxipad, put a red stripe on it, and stuck it to the Ford pickup hood of a really dorky guy I went to school with.
January 7, 200620 yr I never got the whole story, it was apparently at somebody's house when they got arrested, so the cops brought it to the store.
January 7, 200620 yr Author I have a story too. When I was a freshmen in college, we had one day where it snowed really hard. Well, outside of our dorm there was a huge snowball fight between us and the dorm building across the street...I'd say maybe 150-200 students were out there. Some of the rowdier ones began throwing snowballs at cars, and a few of the drivers got really pissed off, threatening to do harm if they threw any more at them. Anyway, it kept going on until one guy threw a snowball that was more of an iceball, and the guy in the car called the police from his cell phone. Campus police came by in a Crown Vic and began threatening to arrest people who threw any snowballs at passing cars. One knucklehead threw a big one at one of the cop cars and the cops went over there and handcuffed him. While the cops were distracted by those that were still throwing snowballs, a couple guys from my floor went over to one of the CV's and started building three snowmen on the roof. Then they proceded to build some...obscene parts on the biggest snowman in the middle. They got them all built before the cop got back to his car, and when he left he didn't even bother pushing them off. So as the car pulled away, here are three snowmen on the roof, with one of them exposing himself.
January 8, 200620 yr Of the ones listed here, I'd have to say the oddest one is the Acclaim, Aries, or anything known to be commonly four cylinder. Edited January 8, 200620 yr by S.Myers
March 12, 200620 yr My favorite cop car: 502 power,3" exhaust...From my city of Berkley They run it on Woodward all summer. I love Woodward.

March 12, 200620 yr Here locally there is a 4x2 Trailblazer 4.2 with paint, lightbar, and pushbar. It looks pretty cool.
