eh... I caould care less about those to be honest.

They're not very original, not very futuristic and have nothing to do wiht Camaro/F-body DNA so I would not be pissed if they did not make production... but the Hardtop (b-pillar-less) greenhouse just might be the first shot fired in the return to hardtops by detroit.

IF the Challenger does not beat GM to it.

Thanks Sixty8 for this Camaro concept thread and for your analysis. Very thoughtful.

Glad you enjoyed it Harley.... I just thought a good summation from me was in order. I've been drawing "1st-gen-retro" 5th Camaros since 1998 or so, that is why I felt so compelled to post so many in our Camaro Design Contest.

Not to pat myself on the back *pat-pat* but I think my designs were closer than certain skeptical members thought. I'm not saying they were dead on but there's some similarity for sure.

The nose is killing the car IMHO. The grill needs to be about an inch or two taller and it needs to be unswept some and make it more in flow with the body.

It is currently an attempt to make it like the 69 in the grill department and its not working well. Every non GM car person I show this too makes the same remark. Heck every regular schmo I've shown the car to that is not a car person says the same thing.

Bring those grill ends out some instead of sweeping them back so far and make it a bit taller and the car would be perfect. Thats the suggestion coming from this Camaro nut.

The rear looks nice now with that lip spoiler however and looks improved over the leaked Clay model pictures. How soon can I get mine in Lemans Mettallic Blue? :CG_all:

I love the grill ebout it's NOT a 1969 style grille.... it's very 1967/1968 actaually... the headlights are way out at the very corners of the grille.. the 1969 Camaro had headlights that were pushed inward and the RS had the regular style lights.

I think the grill could be better but I still love it! :)

I don't mind this eggcrate grill, it gives some visual relief from a very smooth sexy shape. If I were doing this car I would do that grill in a very subtle eggcrate, or closely aligned black horizontal slats.

I agree 100%

Second that notion.

The car is absolutely stunning in every way (except some parts of the interior) and I could definately see this a being a favored rwd, v-8 car to have in my books (and there aint too many since I'm not usualy a v-8 rwd type of guy)

One part of the interior I realy do love though is the 4 small gauges on the center console near the shifter.

Depending on the photo and/or color.....it's more angular than it at first suggested. Still very nice.
