I guess this was brought up before and sounds a bit unrealistic, but should we start a section to review cars and have test drive reports or something like that?
Hell yeah! We kind of had that going at the last site, but it was shut.
It sounds kind of interesting, do u mean like goin to dealer and checkin out new cars and test drivin them, and who is gonna do this, all C&G members?

Whoever. If you test a car, review it step-by-step for us. We all need an extra outlook on the automarket!
I think it's a good idea...Do the cars have to be strictly GM?

I think all manufacturers should be tested--this way it's a fair comparison of what the competition offers and how it behaves/handles, etc.

I like the idea of people doing reviews. It's always nice to see non-professional pictures and reviews to get a realistic idea of what a car is like.
Yeah, the cars don't have to be just GM cars. Hell, you could even do a comparo thing like HHR vs. PT vs. Element vs. xB or something (or some other comparo). I think this is a good idea; maybe it could just go into the Member's Articles section?

Well I was just thinking of stuff I can do over the weekends. I'll just go to a dealer, grab a tester, take some pics and write an article. Good for me (as I am researching my next car) and good for the site. I'll try to make the article as "professional" as possible. Drivers reviewing the cars they drive. That's my idea. Call it a counter attack on paid "professionals" like the one starting with the big E.

That sounds like a great idea, although you should leave this to the people who know how to beat off a salesman. "For the last time, I'm not buying this car!!"
Or you could just go to Enterprise or something. Provided you can get one that's not beat to hell.

I won't be buying or leasing the car until next year anyways. That's when my lease is up. :P
This is a cool idea, although, I won't be doing much reviewing other than taking pics and only on vehicles from Chevy, Caddy, Buick, Pontiac, Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler... :P
That's exactly the thought behind our C&G Feature Articles forum.

Write up some good reviews, guys, and as long as its somewhat above "God, this car blows nuts" and we'll format it and post it. Pictures are def encouraged!

No, that type of thinking is wrong, BV. Remember why C&G existed in the first place? It's all the crap out there so that we are trying a fresh start to have unbiased views on cars! We can't bias towards Pontiac! :P
No bias here, actually. It's just that those are the only brands sold in my area... And I really don't feel like traveling 30+ miles. Yeah... That's good ol' Brookville for ya. :D

Oh man, it makes me want to write up a review of my 1992 Buick Century, just for shits and giggles!

Call it a used car review, just to keep everything covered ;)

Imagine C&G changing into a full-blown community-led automotive mag/site with everything...

Or a really, really, really long-term review.
I'm going to do it, just for fun--I'm going to try and write it up as professional-sounding as possible :) Paulie's Uber-Long-Term Review
Totally do it; it's a way creative idea, and you could take several looks at it over the time you've owned it (if you remember differences in feel). Include pictures, hell even make a timeline of history if you want! Tell us if you would ever purchase this car again, and what's your favorite and least favorite aspect of it.
As long as all of those testing/driveing these cars are from another univerce and have NO pre conseaved ideas or baises. :P

Perhaps I should do one for our beater... a 1988 Volvo 240 GL with a breathtaking 114 horsepower engine!
I would do one of my 95 GA, but I'm afraid I couldn't give an unbiased view. It will filled with... "This is best car ever.. It rocks, man. Solstice? Pfft... Get a 95 Grand Am, bitch. This car f**kin rocks!" :D That and I suck at writing reviews. I'm looking forward to reading some of these, though. :P
I will review my century eventually, first im going to get 0-60 and 1/4 mile... so it might be a while :) edit - are vids allowed? :o B) oh and wohoo I was the first one to post in member article forum! go parkinglot!
