The sites for BBC News and the Premiership, ending in ".com" originate out of England.

January 13, 200620 yr I really don't understand why you guys think .com is American. It stands for "commercial". I find it extremely ironic that one of the most patriotic countries in the world doesn't use their country-specific suffix (.us). Canadians have and use .ca, Brits use .uk, but Americans insist on sticking with .com for some reason, which really shouldn't be done for non-commercial sites like this one. cheersandgears.us - whaddya think?

I think that .com is American because American companies have exploited it more than most other countries. .co.country tends to be something that other countries do.
January 14, 200620 yr Was this Adam? Nah.. he was too "differently abled" to say something like that.
January 18, 200620 yr When I read this topic, I thought they were eluding that we were starting a circle jerk or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> circle jerking is fun
