December 9, 200916 yr It had a bad O ring in one carb (had to remove the carb to fix it - bit of a PITA). Runs great now, and no more puddles of fuel under it. BTW Stang, it is an earlier car than I remembered ('69 Series II). On to the Healy 3000 now...
December 11, 200916 yr Author No go on the Healey today - a defective part is holding up progress until Monday. Forgot to take my camera too, sorry Stang.
December 11, 200916 yr Thats Okay. Although I'm having trouble believing any 50 year old British Sports Car would have a defective part...much less a defective electrical part. Good thing vintage racing is usually not done at night... Chris

But get this, it isn't a Lucas original - it's an aftermarket knock-off. Defective right out of the box. It's the pressure switch that actuates the brake lights. December 11, 200916 yr As a former SCCA flagger...I know how quickly cars get black flagged for that. Interestingly, I have black flagged Healy's during vintage races for just that problem! Chris
December 11, 200916 yr Author Yeah, it's a known problem. BTW: this car is a restored street car, not one of the race cars. I'll get you some pics soon.
December 11, 200916 yr Author I'm giving you fair warning: When you see the pics you will suffer extreme Healey-lust.
