January 14, 200620 yr if i were like a master hot rud builder like ChipFoose or something....i'd take a LONG LONG look at the camaro and get to work building one...im sure its feasable..might take a few tries, but hey i'd have until 2008 to come up with one before anyone else
January 16, 200620 yr Author As I write, Discovery Channel has a piece on the behind the scenes development of the new Camaro. Great stuff!
January 16, 200620 yr That trunk had better be fixed by production... the carry-over height is much too high.
January 16, 200620 yr Author Sometimes I think car design is too enslaved to practicality. Really, when considering this car, I would not be concerned about trunk accessiblity. I will sacrifice some things for good looks and power.

January 16, 200620 yr Author And so... the nitpicking begins. Yes we do continue to eat our young. Not sure why that happens. Edited January 16, 200620 yr by HarleyEarl
January 16, 200620 yr Dude get over it. The design was good but not perfect and some things really do need to be addressed before it is produced otherwise the public will nitpick it. The high beltline/tiny greenhouse is a huge flaw. Why? $h!ty open-air driving experience. I would say the quality of open-air driving experience is pretty integral to the success of the Camaro. Also, the trunk access would be easy to fix. Ridiculously easy to fix, without restraining the design. Just extend the cutlines down vertically.
January 16, 200620 yr Author The less cutlines the better. They muddy a good design. There is a reason coupes look better....not so much clutter.
January 16, 200620 yr A trunk opening down to the bumper would help for shoving things into the trunk, with probably just a slight reduction in structural rigidity, but it sure would beat the big old hatchbacks of the last two generations. The only thing that really bothers me on the concept, aside from the interior, are the tiny mirrors.

January 16, 200620 yr I think the Camaro looks great as it is. Take a chance at doing things differently this time GM and let the concept make it to production as is. Don't change a thing, you have a winner. Two hundred thumbs up. B)
January 17, 200620 yr Author Was it Rides? Do you know when it will be on again? ...sorry not sure when it's on again....no it wasn't 'Rides'....it was a general interest technology show in Canada.
August 21, 200619 yr Author Really like this view of the Camaro....really shows the taut lines...very crisp, tailored. Edited August 21, 200619 yr by HarleyEarl
