Do I want it both ways? Certainly the peace of mind of a new car with the soul/spirit of a RWD V8 powered beast. But really is that too much to ask for?

Nothing wrong with that. That's what I want in my next car. RWD, preferably V8. Day in day out, I want the features, safety, and reliability of modern, late model vehicle..don't want to deal with the issues of an old car...whether it's the 50 mile daily commute or a 500-2000 mile road trip. My '87 Mustang is fun as an occasional weekend drive, but I haven't used it as a daily driver in almost 10 years.

Glad you agree, I really don't think when GM has the car I want, it is too much to ask for.
