December 29, 200916 yr ...for the Tahoe. They are cheap, and have good reviews (Firestone Winterforces). Opinions? I put a couple Winterforce tires on the rear of the LS and they are doing a great job. I have no problems in snow anymore, and there even seems to be better grip on ice.
December 29, 200916 yr Author Just got a deal on 4 OEM aluminum rims with good tires for $200. Going that route for now.
December 29, 200916 yr Excellent...however...4 Blizzacks+Miata=winter fun. Snow tires are the way to go...
December 29, 200916 yr Author Yeah, but the deal was too good to pass up. With good tires and functional 4x4, snow will not be a problem. The Tahoe is now worlds better than it was this morning. -good tires -I discovered the source of the nasty vibration it had while it was on the lift and fixed it( the idiot who replaced the transfer case before I bought it forgot to tighten the bolts holding in the rear U-joint and it had become very loose) -The same fool had turned the idle up for some reason. -Inspection and emissions are now done -4x4 is now functional (actuator was bad) It's like a completely different vehicle now. A good day.
