is this the other car?LINK

Looks like a blurry pic of the concept shown at NAIAS..with maybe a few detail differences around the front end.

GM Released some "behind the scenes" Camaro concept pics and it is the earlier model. Here are VERY CLEAR shots of it.

It has a much more of a 1969 vibe in the front. I like the real concept much better.

And this one looks like it is based on that GTO concept from years ago. Thank god that never saw the light of day.

These cars are so sharp edged and "arts & science", are we sure that Cadillac didn't get screwed over just so there could be a new camaro?

There is some A&S theme going on here but not quite enough to make Cadillac fans care. I'd rather have all of GM go A&S instead of these jelly-bean 90s rejects like the Luscerne and '06 IMpala.

Whoever cancelled that production idea is sweet as hell (wasn't it Wagoner?)... That looks like a toned Beetle.. all cutesy and stuff. Ew.

I think the first one has potential... the reseced (inboard) headlights from the 1969 Camaro are one thing I miss about the concept.

I think they will reappear along with the "fender-swoosh" speed lines on a mid-life cycle reskin. I hope they do. :)

Why does that one remind me of a talking cartoon car?

Well, it's not that great to start with. It has a rather odd stance and a too cutesy, footsey face. However, if that got greenlighted for production, it would've beat the Mustang to market by 1 or 2 years when it comes to using retro themes to throw the car back to its glory days.

Okay, both sides of this version have a downright - should I say? - devilish agressiveness to it. But what really sort of makes this a "nightmare" machine are three elements:

1. It's two halves sawn up and glued together - a Frankenmaro anyone? - and the left side which is more pale than the other looks like its a ghost or something.

2. The right front side of the car has a toothy smirk that starts at its side of the car all the way over the headlight. That is one toothy grin - and I don't like it.

3. You can clearly see that either a lot of design elements were recycled from the 1999 Pontiac GTO Concept in the C-Pillar, etc., or that the foam model just got a Camaro reform. That alone is scary.

I think I actually like the back 1/2 of that one better than the concept. It's not as aggressive, and the rear overhang might be a tad bit too long, but I think it has slightly better lines. The front though, can be forgotten.

something's obviously way wrong with these pictures. did they photoshop the final concept to demonstrate the other designs? because, it looks terrible. the wheels are clearly quickly hacked into the picture, and a lot of the surface detail seems to indicate being heavily manipulated, it's not as reflective as it should be.

GM uses fake wheel pictures stuck onto the tires to simulate wheels on clay/foam models. These are real pictures of the design mock-ups.

I think Im in a minority of 1 but I like the older retro design better, it looks cleaner and less fussy IMHO

through the wheels have clearly been chopped on...
