In an incident that could have an adverse effect on business, the floor of a Weight Watchers clinic in Sweden has collapsed.

About 20 slimmers on the programme had gathered at the clinic in the southern city of Växjö to see how much weight they'd lost, when the floor suddenly gave way beneath them.

"We suddenly heard a huge thud; we almost thought it was an earthquake and everything flew up in the air," one of the participants told the Smålandsposten newspaper.

"The floor collapsed in one corner of the room and along the walls."

Then, as the rest of the floor began to give way, a stink of sewage filled the room.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which is still under investigation.

The gravity of the situation is immense.

If that isn't a great motivator, I don't know what is!
