Pontiac Wave Redesign

Featured Replies

The 5 door has always looked better...hey, at $4 a gallon, we need this car up here!

Those wheels are really tiny...

Atleast the grill isn't tacked on like the Pursuit... Still rather pathetic, though.

I don't like the design of this new Aveo-now not only is it on a dated, unchanged chassis along with an underpowered, unchanged engine, but now it looks just as ugly as the Nissan Versa. Still a better car than Kia Rio, but I'd like to see more differentiation and sportiness between Wave and Aveo. And if something as bad as that grille (also similar to the Torrent and Montana SV6 grille), just kill Pontiac!

Good lord...why do they try so hard to REALLY give the Canadians some excessively pathetic choices? Is there any real reason....like a re-badged Chevy as a Pontiac fetish up there, or what?

Pretty much, yeah. And the small car market is stronger, hence things like this, two Metros before, the whole Asuna brand, SMART cars, Echo 3-door, and the lame Acura Civic.

It's bland. It needs ground effects and a nice wing.

Bring it here. It'll be great as a G2. Should sell thousands and bring people into Pontiac.

This car is for the Canadian market. Pontiacs have always been more popular than Chevys here, therefore it exists. I have no problem with this vehicle or the Pursuit. These are needed here.

So the whole factor that it IS a Chevy with different stickers and a new snap-in grille piece doesn't register with people? They must REALLY love the Pontiac image or something...

It's interesting that Canadians have historically embraced the Pontiac brand more than Americans...maybe there is a book in there somewhere, as to why that is. My family liked Pontiacs as well.

Because Canadians like Pontiacs so much, I can't see GM canceling that brand.

As for the Wave--heh.

No, this is not the G2.

The G2 is the Matiz, which is the Chevrolet Spark / Daewoo Matiz.

Gentra's bigger.

Not as cool as the Firefly! That was priceless. A Geo Merto wiht a Pontiac Arrowhead on the nose! LOL

I've seen elsewhere that this will be the new G3 in Mexico..

The good ol' days of GM badge engineering are still around....maybe US Pontiac dealers can get this also, as well as versions for Saturn and Buick!

Well if I recall, mute made a Buick version.

Hell no. Please.
