Anyways, I've been reading quite a few stories about people cutting, or just doing things a whole new way in this lovely economy.

I've always been a guy who didn't need a bunch of stuff, but I find it amazing the stuff you can live without.

Haven't missed cable, that's for sure. Hulu FTW.

Looks the used car idea (for the wife) will stay that way going forward.....

My new car needs to stay under 20 grand, period.

I think I can get a Cruze or Aveo (if I go the GM route) pretty decently loaded (I'm not a frills kinda guy) for 15-17k.

I want to have as few payments of anything possible. Cash is going to be king from here on out.....

I'm trying to pay off all my debts (not easy at the moment) as quick as possible.

Just a few thoughts floating around in my head at the moment.....

I traditionally run a tight ship household-wise, so at the moment- no changes in daily life.

My financial situation has actually improved substantially since this whole thing started with a further jump in improvement coming shortly.

If anything we're planning on spending more in the next two quarters.

My wife & I are looking at either switching to a cheaper tv service, or ditching it altogether. Unfortunately there's a bit of a question if we can even get all the major networks over the air where we live, and there are some fav tv shows that aren't on the network websites or hulu. Still, to save ~$50/mo it might be worth just not following a few shows anymore.

We already have no car payments and inexpensive insurance. We're looking at ways to reduce food costs, but overall we're not really having to tighten our belts, we're just doing it to get out of debt faster.

We don't even watch TV much anymore, makes more sense to just have good internet for us.

Getting out of debt is not easy to do when you're poor, but somehow we keep doing it, little by little.....
