February 18, 201016 yr Welcome to Choppin' Competition #52! Chevrolet came out with the sleek, supercharged Cobalt SS in 2005 and showed the world that it could compete with some of the best compact tuner cars in the world. They upped the ante in 2009 when they added a set of Brembo brakes, sport-tuned suspension, form-fitting race seats, and a turbocharged engine. This car came out of the gate and earned the title of the fastest production FWD car to lap the Nurburgring. However, the Cobalt has been replaced by the Cruze, with nothing really being mentioned of an SS variant. This is where you come in... Your task is to turn the Chevrolet Cruze into a Super Sport compact tuner with looks to match its extraordinary performance. Whether it’s a sedan, hatchback, or coupe when you’re done with it, be sure to give your Cruze SS an the edge on the competition. You may only use the Chevrolet Cruze as your base picture. --------------------------------------------- Some Picture Sources... -Net Car Show -See below for directions to access AutoDeadline Entries must be 800x600. February 19, 201016 yr I'm probably going to stick to the Cobalt's formula of subtle enhancement (besides the big wing). Though, mine will have lots of smaller details/changes than the Cobalt SS ever had. Hope there are more entries this time around. Side note: Why do people keep referring to the cars like the Cruze and Corolla as subcompacts? Aveo/Fit/Fiesta are subcompacts. these are compacts.
February 19, 201016 yr Author My apology, post edited. You're correct that it is not a subcompact. My mind was elsewhere...
February 19, 201016 yr You sir win the award for most clever chop...ever. The bar must've been pretty low.
February 19, 201016 yr I understand there's a little place in Key West called "Mo's Midget Bar". Makes them feel tall 'cuz they can put their elbows on the bar without hoppin' up on a stool.
February 26, 201016 yr Author You have something yet, DF? I started mine last night, it should be done soon I'm hoping... Maybe I'll send PMs to the designers on the board and try to get more people to participate!

March 11, 201016 yr Might as well, I'd rather the competition stay open until we have more a Chevy badge singing "I'M ON A BOAT" and a chop you already did.
