... a really large auto ad. It's pretty big. What's it for and where can you find it?

No; really, it's a really big auto ad. B-I-G.

Maybe the biggest ever?

Cadillac @ Times Square?

Naw... Think that's been done already... From back when I was in NYC 2004:

Gosh golly; no- I said B-I-G! Biggest Auto Ad Ever (to my knowledge); bigger than the CTS above.

Thank you; that's it!

I forgot, Walt, that you were an 'insider' on this one.

Today:

Walt- I remember seeing a red hardbound Studebaker reference book in the Detroit libray many years ago. It sticks (partially) in my mind because it had very cool pics of unusual stuff... I'm thinking perhaps illustrations of prototypes... or was it trucks.... can't recall. I'd like to pick up an authoratative volume on Stude- any recommendations?

I'll put together some of the books I have and let you know...

This is from a book called Studebaker: Less Than They Promised which is good, but not a "definitive" history - kind of a Cliff Notes history.

Most of the books I have are focused on Raymond Loewy, which do have a lot of cool one-off designs including a four-door Avanti-inspired sport sedan that Studebaker had in full clay that was supposed to appear in 1965/66, but alas, it was never meant to be.

I'll see what other Stude books I have and let you know...

That's pretty cool.

It's starting to get eaten by the surrounding bush a little. Surprised there are no Stude fans willing to fell a few trees to keep it ledgible.

Undoubtedly that would depend on the property owner's desires- it is not likely to be public land- even so: I am certain the random felling of trees would be disallowed.

Keep in mind it only looks like anything more that woods from the air...

Purchase spotlights, chainsaw and a friend with a helicopter. Make an excuse to take a roadtrip to Indiana.
