An advantage to being gay. Candles.

A freak microburst brought down a tree and pulled down the wires on my street.

Being gay, we have more candles than the Vatican on Easter Sunday. It feels like we have the lights on, just dimmed.

We're still having fun. Power is still out here. They haven't even started working on it yet. It looks like the power pole is cracked and bending. I have a laptop and a cellular internet connection so I can keep tabs on you guys.

Cool...more work for an electrician to fix...

Sadly, I've found those 'kid-sized' 7 oz beers are about enough for me anymore.

On a commercial power grid here- power never goes out here more than 1 minute.

I've found that when I decide drink about a quarter bottle of vodka, I end up being a good 3 hours late to work the next day.

That having a large retail store to admit that they took EUR100 from you takes a lot of trouble and time... Let's see how they propose to solve this thing next Wednesday at the Consumer Conflicts Arbitrage Centre here in Lisbon...
