The junkyard - part 2

Featured Replies

Actually, I am not crazy about going there but, when I have to, I will definitely go.

For the Regal, I have bought 5 items there - and saved myself a lot of money:

1. Heater blower motor

2. Washer fluid bottle

3. Radio pod

4. Steering wheel

5. Dash light 30 second delay switch ($7 instead of $200+, ridiculous)

When I am there, it's fun to walk around the aisles and look at cars I used to like (i.e. Grand Le Mans )

None left in Jersey... well; I should say nothing left with vintage stuff.

There are a few late-model yards, but they're no fun AT ALL.

That said- I need to go- need a HVAC knob for the GP... plus a radio.

I love the junkyard, it's like a toy store. Lots of good stuff for 2nd gen LH cars. :)

u-pull-it yards are awesome. Unfortunately I have to drive pretty far to get to one that's decent sized. There's a reasonably sized place near here that lets you pull your own parts though.

eBay is my junkyard. The last thing I needed for the Jeep (driver's seat and seat track) I found on eBay. I called around locally, but no way was I going to go to a junkyard in August in AZ.

They are okay if they have older cars...otherwise blah...

I need to go to pick up a few things fo the wife's Cav....

There's at least four pick `n pulls within 20 minutes of where I currently live. :)
