February 3, 200620 yr In a recent test in C&D the TB SS beats the SRT-8 Cherokee by two points I believe.... I will try to get the article.
February 3, 200620 yr Yea, part of the discussion started in that Civic Si thread...Basically, the GC beat it hands down as far as performance goes. The TB won because it was more utilitarian though and could still tow stuff... (7500 or something like that compared to the GC's 3000 or whatever)...Also there was more space inside the TB...
February 3, 200620 yr It's like comparing the last Camaro and Mustang: the Mustang looked fresher and was more refined where the Camaro took all performance hands down. Edited February 3, 200620 yr by NOS2006
February 3, 200620 yr More like another Chevy vs. Dodge matchup: Corvette and Viper. Sure, the Viper can beat the Corvette in some aspects and its clearly the more raw, musuclar, unbridled powerhouse of the two...but you can live with the 'Vette.
February 3, 200620 yr Yessir. Anybody getting this? GM builds more "efficient" vehicles for people and is still the most criticized? Edited February 3, 200620 yr by NOS2006
February 3, 200620 yr They still won though. C&D has made several articles on these performance SUV's. Every time with some comment on how stupid and pointless these hot rod SUV's are. It would only make sense for them to give the TB the win due to the fact that it still maintains the "U" in SUV and can still be used for its original intended purposes of hauling people (more comfortably than the GC) and stuff (can tow twice as much as the GC).
February 3, 200620 yr Author In a way they are pointless but then again you dont need 4WD to tow a boat and stuff so you arent losing out there so and that great power for towing comes with the SS TB so that would be a good reason to get it, but then looking at the SRT8 - GC, it is pointless enless u want a higher hot-rod other wise I would get the Charger SRT8
February 4, 200620 yr I don't think a SUV such as the TB SS is pointless, as long as it retains its towing qualities and load-lugging qualities. It seems GC sacrficed a lot of road comfort....and lost. Now, where's that bias?
February 11, 200620 yr It arrived in the mail today, and interestingly, the TrailBlazer only won because of the infamous-by-now "gotta-have-it factor".
