A) Go as far around it as you can.

B ) Stop, wait for the flood to subside.

C) Stop, make a U-turn, seek an alternate route.

D) Drive right through it because, hey, if the National Guard 6x6 in front if you made it, you can too!

Some chick chose D and became the fifth of eight cars I saw flooded out today. One was a spankin' new Mercedes CLS with the window sticker still on it. Dang.

Believe me, it was super fun trying to find ways around the water today. This was insane, guys, I'm talking more flooding than some of the hurricanes that have brushed by here as of late.

And its still raining!

"Inclement weather" around here means I'm powersliding in a Datsun or Cadillac around snowbanks & plow trucks.

She did once, too. Back in '96 when there was a massive flood, alot of the roadways were flooded out due the excessive amount of creeks and streams around here. This was when she still had the ol' '89 Regal and took the long way to work. Well, down in a valley where there's a train overpass right before a natural spring and a small stream, it was flooded out. What did she do? Drive through it, ofcourse.

She made it. Must not have been as deep when she did it, though. When me and my dad (in his raised '77 Scottsdale) went through it, the water was nearly up to doors (atleast 2' off the ground). Anyways, that was just a small stream.

E. Hit the water at 140 mph and try to skip over it like a flat rock.

Eeeegads that pic "hurts my eyes" ... it's a Chevrolet Malibu going headlong into water ... arg.

Heh. I've never understood why people think they can drive through "puddles" of water ... and get by without anything happening. Then, of course, they look shocked that they got stuck and flooded.

I'd do it.. I guarantee my car would hydroplane. It's pretty known for doing that.

A few months ago, bits of the 110 freeway were flooded during a rare-for-LA rainstorm. I was in the Odyssey and the carpet got a bit wet, but that was nothing compared to the Miata left of me (there was traffic, so there was nowhere to go but straight ahead). My friend's 325Ci was "totalled" from the flood damage.

It's SO foggy out over here right now. It was hard to drive home.. exceptionally hard.

Haha! .... I'd prolly chose C and seek an alternate route.... unlees A was an option depending on the size of the big puddle/flood..... in the scenario you are describing..... A doesnt seem like a viable option
