DISCLAIMER: I know in 10 years the Chinese will be in the USA and they will be making inroads, but it's more fun to poke and prod them while they just don't care about getting it right, especialy on cars that are paraded out as "beauty" models, so I really don't want a disortation about Japan in the 70s and Korea in the 80s. Just have fun.

This is the new little thing from Chery:

This gap shouldn't make too much wind noise at speed. Really helps with the drag Co also. I guess it's alright because with the key wound up almost untill the rubber band breaks it must get up to a top speed of what? 25-30 mph. And what did they clean those lenses with? Sandpaper?

I don't think the trunk is closed right. Oh? That's the way it's supposed to look. Are you sure there isn't a dead hooker in the back that won't allow the trunk to close? You say you tried to fit a dead hooker in there but she didn't fit... OK.

I think it likes you... It's smiling.

Where'd they get that badging from, Kinkos?

I think Santa gave up giving out coal to all the bad boys and girls and decided to wrap up a bunch of Cherys instead. Now you be a good little boy or Santa will put a lump of Chery in your stocking.

Ther trunk lid almost looks like it was banged up in an accident. The chrome strip on the back end looks like it was bought at a hobby store for $2.99 and glued on there.

I'd just like to say that due to the flack they took from humanitarian agencies, Chery does all its trunk-size testing with live hookers, just like every other automaker. So please, rip their fit and finish all you want, but no more dead hooker jokes. It's just not funny anymore.

I like the big body-colored recovery hook in the last pic because I assume the best way of driving your Chery is hooking it up to bicycle.

Anyone notice how the sideview mirror looks like its mounted upside-down? Why would you want it to curve up and away...are you keeping an eye out for large birds that may mistake this thing for an aphid?

And my car had tighter panel gaps after it was in a collision.

Check out how much of that back window is covered by that black stuff. It has like a 1inch square of visibility.

Also.

Take a look at the plastic panel visible behind the rear window at the right side. Is that supposed to stick to the green metal?

Wow. If Michelangelo was alive today, this is the car he would design!

The U.S. really ought to step up and inhibit certain importations, or high tariffs like other nations. Their economies seem just fine too. I would be happy if the Chinese never made it here.

You can hope for some strict safety standards which would hinder Chinese cars from the market.

We all remember the Landwind. They had to make it weight more than 2500kg in order to bypass European safety standards. I hope USA doesn't have similar loopholes.

We do sadly. That's how that Warsaw Pact piece of junk Crosslander can get away without having airbags.
