February 5, 200620 yr Interesting fabric option on the '75 Cadillac Calais. Probably in the context of the times it's not unusual considering everyone was wearing plaid pants at the time. Can you imagine a luxury car of today daring to do this?!
February 5, 200620 yr I'm not a huge fan of plaid in any application, but I've seen a lot worse. And I wouldn't mind some creative use of different cloths in interiors. Leather's nice and all, but it's not especially comfortable.
February 5, 200620 yr Author The more I look at this interior, the more I like it. You're right, would be a relief to have some variety in interiors of today.
February 5, 200620 yr Sorry, but that looks like $h!, more accurately like a bad pair of slacks you'd find at a St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. I'm all for variety in interiors, too, but man have a little less garishness and a lot more class about it.
February 5, 200620 yr Hah, funny of you to post this. There's an older Spanish gentleman in the neighborhood that owns a 1977 Coupe DeVille with a variation of this interior in it. I wonder how many leisure suits had to die for an interior of this caliber...

I wonder how many leisure suits had to die for an interior of this caliber... There's no telling. I'm pretty sure that Cadillac used only infant leisure suits to make their interiors. They're much softer and more luxurious than the adult suits.
February 5, 200620 yr I see that interior and all I think of is Ben Stiller in disguise as Morty someone in the Starsky & Hutch movie.. so 1976!!! Giant lapels, big sunglasses, big sideburns, loud colors, loud shoes... Edited February 5, 200620 yr by moltar
February 7, 200620 yr A Burberry edition Cadillac would be great! A little plaid on the seats would look great but not the door panels.
February 7, 200620 yr A Burberry edition Cadillac would be great! A little plaid on the seats would look great but not the door panels. I was just thinking the same thing. A Burberry edition Escalade would sell. Just as long as it doesn't have a padded vinyl roof:
February 7, 200620 yr I'm getting the feeling that you guys wouldn't like my favorite pants. :AH-HA_wink:
