September 19, 200520 yr Like who cares ? [post="16524"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Just sharing opinions like everyone else in this thread. Got a problem?
September 19, 200520 yr I wouldn't sweat it, Croc, as it seems like many on this board have turned the hate volume up pretty high since the new board came online.
September 19, 200520 yr Oh, I'm not upset or anything; I was just putting the jackass in his place :) Satty, you forgot the ultimate comfort food: Unless you don't like Mint Chocolate Chip, I'd say this is the best feel-good ice cream flavor. Edited September 19, 200520 yr by Croc
September 19, 200520 yr I've got a pint (well, now about half a pint) of Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie in the freezer. Good stuff indeed.
September 19, 200520 yr Negatory. That's the fuel-cell GM Precept. This is the 1992 Ultralite: 420lbs. Think about that. That's what GM is capable of when it wants to do something. Best corporation building the best automobiles the world has ever seen - when it feels like it. [post="16281"][/post] I would love to see this vehicle on the road as a super fuel-efficient two-seater. Too bad GM has to adhere to US safety standards...
September 19, 200520 yr Please, GM, never do this again: [post="15845"][/post] Well now I know where the idea for the CTS headlights came from.....
September 19, 200520 yr The Precept was rather innovative. I dont remember all the details, but it was a test bed for all kinds of technology, drivetrain and weight savings. Problem is, it reminds me of this:
September 20, 200520 yr Author I can't for the life of me, remember the name of this Corvette concept. It's the first time I have seen a photo of it in years. Anyone know?
September 20, 200520 yr Is that Astro II or Astro III? Oh Ballllthyyyyy..... http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif
September 20, 200520 yr Author This is big favorite of mine. The Chevy Cheyenne pickup concept. I tell you here now, if Chevy made this pickup exactly as it is here, they would take over the truck market almost completely. Very butch.
September 20, 200520 yr Disagree...it looks too much like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow from the front, and it is just too soft and feminine looking, with a rub strip from Hell. I DID like its interior though.

September 28, 200520 yr Author Balthazar, you know concepts, I can't remember the name of the Corvette concept that is now my sig. Do you know?
September 28, 200520 yr The white one up above is the '68 Astro-Vette, as opposed to the '67 Corvair Astro I or the '67 XP-880 Astro II or the '69 Astro III (which was a turbine-powered 3-wheeler). The blue job in your sig is too new for me. Sure looks like a variant of the Corvette Indy design (of which there seem to be a few)...
January 3, 200620 yr Author Here is an interesting model proposal, a pickup, called the Cowboy by American Motors in 1971:
January 3, 200620 yr Author Sixty8, do you know of any good books on auto design studios and design proposals that didn't make it......I really like that kind of stuff....can't get enough of it.
January 3, 200620 yr The '54 Dodge Granada concept. I wonder if Ford had to pay Dodge for the use of that name? [post="9015"][/post] How did they manage to make 1973 spec. bumpers in 1954? :puke:

January 3, 200620 yr Funny how many recent concepts I've forgotten. I've tried to save pix of a lot, and this thread got me going back through them... Some highlights from my Chevy folder... 2000 Chevy Tandem? I don't remember this one at all, and might have it mislabeled... 2000 Chevy Traverse. Now we know where the Malibu Maxx's tail end came from... 2001 Chevy Borrego. I kinda liked this one... 2001 Chevy S5. Looks like the child of a silverado and a tracker. 2001 Chevy Sabia 1965 Mako Shark-II Corvette Edited February 8, 200620 yr by PurdueGuy
January 3, 200620 yr Author I forgot about that Chevy Traverse.....definitely the inspiration for the MAXX. Those Chryslers were very nice. Edited January 3, 200620 yr by HarleyEarl
January 3, 200620 yr UGLIEST CONCEPT EVER... (well, maybe - definately ranks up there...) 1981 Ford Pockar
January 3, 200620 yr I actually got to sit in that two door Tahoe concept at GM at Carlisle it was really nice. A guy there (GM Big shot) told us it was going to be built this was back in 2001 the first year they had the GM show,I guess he was wrong .
January 3, 200620 yr Saab 9000 2 door Turbo coupe concept Mid to late eighty's Edited January 3, 200620 yr by TurboRush
January 4, 200620 yr The '54 Dodge Granada concept. I wonder if Ford had to pay Dodge for the use of that name? Hey...Ford had to buy (or atleast get permission) from Chrysler for "Falcon" after their 1950s concept the Dodge Falcon.
January 6, 200620 yr Saab 9000 2 door Turbo coupe concept Mid to late eighty's [post="67136"][/post] Even though it looks like a Peugeot 309, this might have done something.
February 8, 200620 yr American Motors AMX GT concept: [post="87413"][/post] Thats just wrong Harley ! Mixing the beautiful AMX with a Gremlin is juust simply wrong ! What year was this ? 67 68 ?
February 8, 200620 yr Author Hey Razor....not sure of the exact year on that AMX GT.....I understand that is where the idea of the Gremlin originated....the roofline.
February 8, 200620 yr Hey Razor....not sure of the exact year on that AMX GT.....I understand that is where the idea of the Gremlin originated....the roofline. [post="87434"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] yep, you read my mind, that was why I asked and what I had suspected, I can deal with Gremlin, it would be one of my last AMC of choise but I can deal with them.......I cant deal with a AMX nose on a Gremlin and this is not really that great of a job either, not like say the camback Corvettes. The Gremlin insignia is..... awsome..........dude
February 8, 200620 yr Hey. How about this that previewed the Neon SRT4's engine- the Plymouth Pronto Spyder. Now this would have saved Plymouth. Or the Chrysler 300 Hemi C concept, what a looker! Hey, does this preview the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, or the new Peugeots? It's the Chrysler Java. I like this, would want one. Edited February 8, 200620 yr by MyerShift
February 8, 200620 yr ...Ford had to buy (or atleast get permission) from Chrysler for "Falcon" after their 1950s concept the Dodge Falcon. The Hemi-powered, one-off '55 Falcon was a "Chrysler". Mixing the beautiful AMX with a Gremlin is juust simply wrong! What year was this ? 67 68 ? 1969.
February 8, 200620 yr Thats just wrong Harley ! Mixing the beautiful AMX with a Gremlin is juust simply wrong ! [post="87432"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] If taken out of the dragstrip way of thinking, it's actually pretty ahead of its time.
February 9, 200620 yr Wow! I never realized how close that Ram prototype looks to the Ford F159 refresh of '92. The headlights look interchangeable.
