February 6, 200620 yr The guy in the car doing something? Or the cars themselves? Or everything? I honestly don't know myself, my only guess could be an "inspection".
February 6, 200620 yr I've never seen anything like that, but it looks like a rail car to transport the vehicles.
February 6, 200620 yr Has to be a railcar...boy am I glad My Solstice did not go through that 'else I'd have to shoot somebody.
February 6, 200620 yr That's pretty crazy...I'd assume a railcar judging by the ramps, but I guess it could also be a shipping crate.
February 6, 200620 yr A bit of trivia - the Chevy Vega was designed so that the cars could be shipped standing vertically. It was a way to get more vehicles into a rail car to increase efficiencies in shipping.
February 6, 200620 yr Think it actually saved much money considering special rail cars had to be engineered specifically to ship Vegas, as opposed to just driving them on a conventional tri-level railroad car carrier?

That I don't know, but since it seems everything related to the car turned out to be a disaster for GM, probably not.

Well, they probably thought the car would be more successful and perhaps even that other models would follow suit, so that the investment in new rail cars would end up paying for itself.
