Heard a rumor that the selection of that name was chosen for a big reason. Verano means summer, which is a great name for a convertible. Could be based on the Opel Astra twintop

Interesting..I thought 'Verano' was going to be Buick's Equinox/Terrain equivalent CUV.

Hmm... a Venti Verano in a coffee color...

Why not call the coupe-cabrio "Verano" (which does makes sense) and call the sedan something else. If Buick wants to tie the coupe-cabrio in with the sedan, then another possibility would be to add "Verano" to the end of the sedan's name for the coupe-cabrio version (For example: the sedan would be called "Skylark" and the coupe-caprio would be called "Skylark Verano").

"Verano" just doesn't make sense for a sedan product.

'Verano' still reminds me too much of an Asian minivan or CUV name.

For me I would prefer either the 5 or 3 door hatch, or wagon, to the sedan anyways.
