Yeah, I don't expect the Golf to crank out mileage that high. As it's running now, I got 27 mpg driving it back from NJ. I do plan on trying to maximize its efficiency, though.

If I get the tires up to 34PSI I can get 43-45 hwy in the Cobalt on flat land.

I think my average is 21 mph and 25.7 mpg right now... damn stop and go traffic to and from work all week.

I'm getting ~25 in pure stop and go driving. When the warmer weather hits, I haven't done many long trips with it. Last time I did I averaged 36 on a road trip from LI to Cortland. Someone please tell me why I need a hybrid.

I generally average anywhere from 28 to 32. I wasn't expecting to get almost 42 after an entire tank. Though, the elevation decrease from NWPA to NYC surely helped. The drive back home, I averaged 35.
