If causing a 'ruckus' was the prime goal, none of these attempts would've involved the intent for anything to explode. So no; they haven't "won", and I get sick of hearing that op.

i know. it's just odd/funny/sad when after the "xmas bomber" thing happened, on the daily show they showed a clip after the shoe bomber of someone saying how rediculous people taking off their shoes was then for security, saying "now they're laughing cause they're afraid of shoes, hey, lets make them take off something else in the name of "security"..like underwear..., basically.

it's not actually funny, obviously, just mostly ridiculous.
