February 17, 200620 yr Easy for me: (1) Australian Shepherd (which is the only kind I have ever owned) (2) Border Collie (which is what I would have had if I didn't have the Australian Shepherd) I am sure I can warm up to other breeds. It's just that those are my favorites. Which ones are high on your list?

February 17, 200620 yr Lab. I have lived around them my entire life and have never had a problem. I can barely think of owning another breed.
February 17, 200620 yr It's not easy for me to pick. I like alot of different breeds. I had a lab, an akita/shephard, a boxer, aust shephard/border collie, rottie/lab. They have all been great lovable dogs.
February 17, 200620 yr minature schanuzer and cocker spaniel . The first never stops barking and the second never stops peeing when startled by the all that barking.

February 18, 200620 yr Boxers and any sort of herding dog, because those are what I've always had. My least favorite is probably German Shepherds. I'm not sure why, but I think it might have to do with that time when I was little and I got attacked by a German Shepherd.
February 18, 200620 yr 1. Beagle 2. Lab I have a beagle lab mix its pretty much a migget lab and it weighs as much as a full size one and man its always hungry.
February 18, 200620 yr Malamutes- Duh. Captain obvious speaks :AH-HA_wink: Otherwise I like 'em large, quiet, and friendly: can't stand dogs of the "yap & pee" variety
February 18, 200620 yr Labs I guess for my second it would be Rottweilers...My buddy has one and, while he is the laziest dog I know, he is also the sweetest most affectionate one I know as well.
February 18, 200620 yr Beagles seem to be winning th epoplularity contest! We have a beagle right now along with the snauzer, cockapu, Lab, and Chow. Ahh beagles -- it was the best of times -- it was the worst of times. The coat is so easy to take care of and their bladders are as strong as steel. She does yelp a lot and steals food toys, anything. I wouldn't go that route again.
February 18, 200620 yr I'm not really a dog person but if I ever were to have one, I'd like a rottweiler.
February 18, 200620 yr a yorkie MIXED WITH A Newfoundland man these things get massavie. But my favorite breed is most likely a golden ret. or a Rotwellier. Edited February 18, 200620 yr by capriceman
February 18, 200620 yr 1. Labs (only dog I ever had was a Black Lab) 2. Greyhounds (planning on adopting an ex-racing dog sometime this decade)
February 18, 200620 yr oh i forgot a polish sheperd.....pretty much a smaller german sheperd theyre soo awesome quiet nice size for me and good looking like me lol
February 18, 200620 yr Author Does anyone know much about Belgian Shepherds? I've seen them in the "family tree" right by German Shepherds but I've never seen one nor know anyone who owns one?
February 18, 200620 yr It's a tie for me: Golden Retriever and Sheltie (shetland sheepdog). We currently have one of each. Tomorrow we're probably getting a Golden puppy.
February 18, 200620 yr Does anyone know much about Belgian Shepherds? February 18, 200620 yr Does anyone know much about Belgian Shepherds? I've seen them in the "family tree" right by German Shepherds but I've never seen one nor know anyone who owns one? I have a very strange dog which may or may not be part belgian shepherd. He attempts conversation frequently.
February 18, 200620 yr Author I have a very strange dog which may or may not be part belgian shepherd. He attempts conversation frequently. Yep. That's what they look like. They are, per the book descriptions, quite aloof and wary of strangers. It's a good-looking dog, though. My dog, when she was alive, used to have a weird way of trying to "talk" to me.
February 19, 200620 yr St. Bernard Golden Retrievers My dog is a mix of the two (smokey) I also like border collie's. I used to have one named midnight.
February 22, 200620 yr Well... I'll just list the 2 that I have... -Brittany Spaniel (Lucky) -Boxer (Harley) Both are good dogs, but Harley is extremely hyper... and now Lucky is old, tired, and extremely lazy. Sad, but he seems somewhat happy, I guess. He's almost 10 years old, I think.
