Who's running around in SoCal?

Featured Replies

Well, now this makes 2 camoed cars i've seen in my area...

about a year apart from eachother but... who would test out a vehicle in Los Angeles area?

Probably Japanese with all those automakers having their U.S. HQ there. Maybe a new Nissan Altima running around? I once saw a camoed car running around the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Yes, I've seen camoes of the Honda Fit, Infiniti M, Acura RL, and some midsizish sedan around PV. Palos Verdes Drive East in particular seems popular.

BMW design HQ is in Newbury Park which is pretty local to me. JD Power and Associates is actually located in my town, though that wouldn't really explain camoed vehicles i dont think...I saw a camo-car around on the 101 once before...very rarely I'll see one though. I know GM design is in North Hollywood I believe...The again, here I am talking about deign studios, but design studios don't do camo-car testing do they?

BMW... the car i saw today looked very similar to the 07 BMW shots i've seen on this website... or at least it had quarter sized holes to let the headbeams shine...

hrmm... weird

I've seen the same kinda camo'd MB ?-class twice on the 605 around Garden Grove.

I never see any GMs, but Ford does thier testing here all the time. My street seems to be a very popular choice for them. I've seen all the new products we were just introduced being tested on different days.

Most of the manufacturer's have facilities somewhere in Socal. Next time take good camera (at least 6MP) with you and then get a hold of me. 8)

I've seen Ford, GM and Chryslers here in LA. I think they're testing the effects of an Ice-Blended on drivers response times.

Nissan and DCX both have design centers in San Diego. I've seen DCX cars out here but have caught a Nissan yet.
