February 26, 200620 yr Here are 4 pictures of the new Chevy Avalanche I took at the Chicago Auto Show about a week ago. It looks really good in person.
February 26, 200620 yr is that a flex fuel icon i see? Yeah...where have you been? Matter of fact, I'm starting to wonder why the whole E85 thing is now just being talked about so much, when it's been available or standard on most GM trucks and SUV's for a few years now...
February 27, 200620 yr Author is that a flex fuel icon i see? Yes, it is. I believe the 3.5 in the Impala can also run on E-85.
February 28, 200620 yr There is support from the Prez but not a good enough support system. That being said not enough pumps! Dammit GM don't drop the ball again!
February 28, 200620 yr When are these supposed to be available for purchase? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
February 28, 200620 yr Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Should just be a couple of months, as I had last heard early/mid summer time, just a little after the Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV on which they're based...if not at the same time. These other "long ones" are supposed to be available pretty soon themselves, but GM has yet to put pricing on them yet...
February 28, 200620 yr There is support from the Prez but not a good enough support system. That being said not enough pumps! Dammit GM don't drop the ball again! While that is important, I think to a large degree the press and the hype that goes with it is more important to GM right now. Just like all the hybrid hype, even though many are not coming close to paying off the extra costs through fuel savings. I am even hearing non car people talk about GM's vehicles that will run on corn lol. They just need to keep the marketing blitz up, make sure there is a spread on e85 with every SUV or truck review.
