July 25, 200619 yr Author Yeah, how the hell did I not come out a 68 Z/28? My 68 Camaro had a 7000rpm redline ZZ3 smallblock, that's pretty damn close to a Z-two-eight. Esp. since it had the stripes too. Anywhooooo.... More sensless killing & cool seat of the pants cinematography. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyfkMbN5EmE&NR
July 25, 200619 yr Another 72 Chevelle SS 454 here... Hmmm, one year off my brothers Chevelle and you need to make it a convertible. Should I just go tell him that the car in his garage is actually mine?
July 26, 200619 yr Author I'm a . . . 1971 Barracuda! 171174 That's a 1970 right there... the 1971 is much better looking with quad headlights and a "gills" in its grille remeniscent of the gills on the side of a 68/69 Corvette but you probably already knew that. Was that the image they used for a 1971 Cuda?
July 26, 200619 yr That's a 1970 right there... the 1971 is much better looking with quad headlights and a "gills" in its grille remeniscent of the gills on the side of a 68/69 Corvette but you probably already knew that. Was that the image they used for a 1971 Cuda? 171470 That pic looks more like a '72...(parking lights below the bumper, grille center detailing).
July 26, 200619 yr Author Another cool photo I dug up in my imageshack account. -------- Moltar: As far as the 1972 Barracuda you're right. I almost forgot that Plymouth went back & forth like that kind of like 1980s Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams. First it was egg crate grilles then it was the fine-tooth comb style and them egg crate again. Edited July 26, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
July 26, 200619 yr Whether a '70 or a '72, the 'cuda is a fake: it wears AAR striping & logos, and the AAR was '71 only. Dodge ran a big pic of the Challenger T/A in it's '72 Scat Pack 8-page ad, only there never was a '72 T/A (sister model to the AAR). Edited July 26, 200619 yr by balthazar
July 26, 200619 yr today im a http://quiz.myyearbook.com/zenhex/quiz.php?qid=42988 1969 Buick Skylark You are a 1969 Buick Skylark. You car has alot of potential....but you don't really care. The only reason you are driving your car is because it works! You only care about going from place to place.....racing isn't in you....but who cares...
July 26, 200619 yr Boy that quiz is F-ed up. I chose 440 Six-Pack for the engine and it tells me I'm a '71 'cuda with a Hemi. Must be mercedes electronics running the processing...
July 26, 200619 yr these are the only possible results All of the possible quiz results for this quiz: * 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (You scored 1) * 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 (You scored 3) * 1967 Shelby GT 500 (You scored 1) * 1971 Plymouth Barracuda (You scored 2) * 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (You scored 2) * 1972 Chevrolet Nova SS (You scored 0) * 1969 Buick Skylark (You scored 0) * 1973 Ford Gran Torino (You scored 1)
July 26, 200619 yr 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 You are a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. You love your car....your friends love your car and thats whats most important to you! Your car really hauls ass! You feel bad that they aren't making Camaros anymore....but don't worry...cuz you know they'll be back! Haha! Well, everybody knows how I feel about muscle cars anyways, so this whole quiz was kind of a lark.
July 27, 200619 yr Author * 1973 Ford Gran Torino 171516 I'd be tempted to hang myself if I came up 1973 Grand Torino in this poll. What an ugly pile of $hit. I have never liked those cars. The red paint job with a white lightning bolt on the side was just lame and comes off as desperate to me. It's like putting lipstick & french perfume on a adult Hippopotamus & expecting it to look like Jennifer Aniston.
July 27, 200619 yr 1973 Ford Gran Torino You are a 1973 Ford Gran Torino. You love Fords and hate Chevys....but you love seeing the look on their face when you smoke them on the road. Starsky and Hutch is your favorite show!
July 28, 200619 yr I don't get it. Is he trying to get me to buy coffee, because if so, that kind of sass won't get me to.
August 6, 200619 yr The '73 Torino looks no worse than other cars of the era. They all were forced to slap on those big bumpers. Take a look at the '73 Chevy, no beauty queen. Edited August 6, 200619 yr by HarleyEarl
August 7, 200619 yr Does anyone have access to photographs of GM's A body cars before they were saddled with the big bumpers? I know they were delayed from '72 to '73 due to a strike, so they were supposed to debut with normal-size bumpers.
August 7, 200619 yr It seems Chevelle and Le Mans didn't start with lighter bumpers. There was the Laguana with the covered bumper. It's sure hard to find photos of these early A-body cars. Edited August 7, 200619 yr by HarleyEarl
August 8, 200619 yr Author Yeah... sorry to be a stick in the mud but IMHO any GM car from the same era azs the Gran Torino is better looking than the G.T. Only the Mustang II is uglier. It's not just the bumpers it's also the side... the G. Torino looks like it's a beached whale with a harpoon slice in its side. Gross. Not to mention those nasty, tacked on rear lights & cheesy headlight buckets. Even though it was the star car of Starsky & Hutch it has no place in this quiz. I do not eevr associate 68 Camaros, 72 Cudas & 70 CHevelles with those ugly piles of $#it. If they were going to throw in a FoMoCo product or two then make it a Shelby GT500KR & a Mercury Cougar. August 11, 200619 yr Author Most of you already know of this, it's been posted here before. http://www.buriedcar.com/tulsarama.html I can not wait to see the shape of this car. It will be a very surreal event when they crack open that giant time-capsule.
August 13, 200619 yr Author Creative, very funny This one's a classic but it's worth seeing again. http://www.goyk.com/video.asp?path=1693 ----- OUCH! August 18, 200619 yr Here's my contribution to science. The governments of the major countries agree to make a day 25 hours long, giving everyone an additional hour a day to help 'git r done'. I've got 2 jobs going and not enough time for the 2nd one. Who in Jersey is looking for part-time carpentry work?
November 27, 200619 yr Author Wow... 1st time for me! Very cool, a lot of European models there. When was this (not) released?
November 27, 200619 yr its was released in the early 2000's when GM's decline was really starting show. it was basicly a moral video that played during a worldwide company meeting.

December 8, 200619 yr Diet Coke + Mentos = WTF? http://www.goyk.com/video.asp?path=2795 179681 Search YouTube for more videos. There's one video where the guy drinks a bottle of Diet Coke and then consumes Mentos. Hilarity ensues.

December 17, 200619 yr Author Bjork music video featuring a white 1963 Oldsmobile 4dr hardtop. It might be a Super 88. (sound familiar?) Perhaps it's a Starfire? ... I can't tell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp-F6hKStc4...related&search= The crazy Broad jumps on the trunk like it's a flippin' useless Camry.
December 17, 200619 yr Author Agreed O.B. The Chrysler BEFORE the work began: Kind of modern for a 1958 Mopar... Pretty cool stance! Put the glass back in and let's go to N.E.D. All Viper mechanically, it looks much more elegant with the body ON! Quite the rear end to show to unsuspecting Porsche 911s & Ferrari 360s.
December 20, 200619 yr Author The best of both worlds... 1950s Mopars are wicked cool and Vipers are not exactly lame either. It's just the 1980s that Chrysler really did NOT know how to make a car that did not suck, but damn they can market a pig's ear as a silk purse! Edited December 20, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther
December 21, 200619 yr Author Yup, it's a great issue. Also in the permanent TIGHT WHIP'S literature collection, along with my '77-'84 Datsun Maxima/810 Haynes manual. Anyone seen this yet? December 28, 200619 yr Good Lands, that yellow Continental is scorching hot, especially that full frontal shot, and it's in a classic color combo from that era, yellow with green interior. Suhweet! Edited December 28, 200619 yr by ocnblu
