March 2, 200620 yr Hi all, As far as I can tell, there are 2 companies making 1/18th-scale Solstii: Yat Ming and Road Signature. Does anyone happen to have one o feach and can compare them for me? I've seen the Road Signature one in a store, and it looks nice enough, thru the box, anyway. I'd like a blue one, FWIW. Just wondering if one is better than the other for any reason- accuracy, detail, quality, etc. TIA!
March 5, 200620 yr Road Signature is a Yat Ming brand, by the way, so I assume a Yat Ming and Road Signature one would be the same... I know Maisto makes a 1:24th Solstice, haven't seen the 1:18th yet.
March 5, 200620 yr I have the 1:18th Road Signature version in gray and the 1:24th Maisto version in dark blue. I think the Road Signature version is better detailed, even if there is a size difference! I bought mine at BJ's Wholesale Club for under $10
March 5, 200620 yr I keep hoping Revell or AMT would come out with a 1:25th scale styrene Solstice glue kit, so I'll probably get the Maisto 1:24th and do some detail painting.. By the way, does anyone know of a 1:24th or 1:25th diecast CTS? I know Ricko does one in 1:18th, but I'd rather have one in 1:24th.. Edited March 5, 200620 yr by moltar
March 6, 200620 yr Author OK, didn't know Yat Ming and Road Signature were kin, thx. Can't wait, I have a list of about 8 die-casts I want, I'll prob buy a couple of them to buy in the next couple months or so. Tony, do you know if Maisto's is a 1/18th? I def. want the larger size. Thx!
