...because ever so slightly, I'm falling more and more for the second-generation Olds Aurora. I just can't get over how great thing thing looks. Plus Northstar V8 power...I wonder if I could end up with one of these instead of the Goat one day... :scratchchin:

Black on black with navi and I'd be all set. Is it possible for the Northstar mean have a mean V8 growl like the GTO? :)

wow those aurora's look awesome

there is a corsca catback exhasut setup made for the aurora that I hear sounds awsome. Gets you a little extra power to

The second gens are pretty sweet. Good luck finding one though...especially with the V8. They are very, very hard to come by.

Even harder to find one with NAV. I'm not sure about the distribution of it, but I've seen many 2nd-gen Auroras on the 'net and in real life and never, ever glimpsed one with GPS...and I've seen a few Final 500s even.

Its a lovely car for sure. Because it was originally meant to be an Eighty-Eight successor carrying the 'Antares' name, it lacks some of the sheer uniqueness of the Classics. Regardless, it carries itself extrodinarily well and I would still say they look better than the majority of the cars sold new today, especially large sedans.

Great engine, great looks, great interior, great chassies, and also quite unique.

Oh, and, *ahem* Its Aurora V8 power from an engine based off the Northstar. ;) This is the Aurora owners' 'Camero' or 'Bimmer/Beamer' if you will.

Is that a Final 500?

I was tempted to trade my Cavalier for an Aurora when the dealership had one for 17k.

But the V8 backed me off.

Well, if I can't find one with NAV, there's always the aftermarket.

Oh, pardon me, then. :)

Tell me about it. I tried a search on cars.com for Auroras in my area but it only found two first-gens.

Wow! I just can't imagine seeing the Aurora and GTO as alternatives to each other.

Well, I wouldn't say they're alternatives but for whatever reason the Aurora has hooked me the same way the GTO has.

They both have similar qualities, though:

-V8-powered (Aurora 4.0 and GTO)

-Somewhat a rare sight on the roads

-Attractive design

-Made by GM

Huh. It even looks OEM.

What years was this available?

God, I love this car more and more...
