March 11, 200620 yr I am not intimately familiar with these european-market variants, but I'll talk it thru. Right off the bat it looks like an Opel circa 1960, but that side trim is straight off a '56 Ford. That's as close as I'm going to go: circa '58 (eropean) Ford. Cortina?
March 11, 200620 yr Author OK, here's a hint: This model has gone through tons of evolution, and it still exists today. It has diverted from its original market at least twice. Edited March 11, 200620 yr by ToniCipriani
March 12, 200620 yr Author Nobody? Here's another hint: The name still exist, but the particular manufacture of this one is gone. It's related to two of Sixty8's cars.
March 12, 200620 yr It does put me in mind of a Euro or Aussie Ford, but I guess it has to be a Datsun/Nissan, and the model has to be Bluebird, President, or Skyline.
March 12, 200620 yr Author He's got two Chevrolets. A Euro/Aussie Chevrolet of some kind? Wrong, wrong, wrong!
March 12, 200620 yr I was going to say a late 50s Ford Taunus but now I'm confused. Is it related somehow to the Q45 & 810 Maxima?
March 12, 200620 yr Author I was going to say a late 50s Ford Taunus but now I'm confused. Is it related somehow to the Q45 & 810 Maxima? Yes. Damn... I didn't know this one is that hard... Edited March 12, 200620 yr by ToniCipriani
March 13, 200620 yr Sounds like it has to be a Datsun then? The first thing I thought though was Simca.
March 13, 200620 yr Author Sounds like it has to be a Datsun then? The first thing I thought though was Simca. No, it's not a Datsun.
March 13, 200620 yr Author More info here: http://www.frinkiac7.clublotus.com/CarReso...SAN_SKYLINE.htm This is a 1957 model, so it's incorrect to say it's a Datsun. Prince and Datsun didn't merge until 1966.
