Old Pontiac Magazine Ads

Pontiac Magazine Ads

Also today while searching YouTube, I saw a 1965 GTO commerical. The first two seconds was a ad from the site it came from. Out of curiousity, I clicked on it and well, in the sense of Mag Ads I found a gold mine. Just looking at these evoke the emotion of what a Pontiac SHOULD BE.

I'll post a few to get the ball rolling.

i came across a few of those last night while looking for inspiration for a new sketch... and i must say i love the blatant arrogance that pontiac had...i read a 67 bonneville ad that said something to the effect of "anything you see on this 67 bonneville, you'll be seeing in two years on everything else" i love it!! pontiac should start making enough good product so they can go back to those arrogant ads...

There is an article in the New York Times about the automotive artwork of the 50's and 60's mentioning a show at the Detroit Library that's focused on this subject. It closes at the end of the month.

I hope it comes to the Petersen

My grandpa used to have a '59 Bonneville like the one below. I like the wide slab look that Pontiac used to have back then.
