GM also wants to move up the production startup of the long-wheelbase Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade ESV, according to Reuters, and has asked suppliers to ship components ahead of schedule. GM has said the introduction of its redesigned full-size SUVs is the company's most significant product launch in 2006. Dealer deliveries of the '07 Tahoe began in January, and sales in the first two months of the year climbed almost 50 percent to more than 28,500 units. Production of the new Suburban has been pulled ahead by several weeks. It begins next week in GM's Silao plant in Mexico. What this means to you: GM needed this to happen in a major, major way. -- Well I'm glad to see GM has a shot at turning around. March 17, 200620 yr My boss tooled up in his new Escalade this week. The dealer told him to take it easy on it for the first 200 miles so he hasn't put it through it's paces yet. Sweet looking wheels though.
