Anyone going to be in the Philly area on Sunday?

Featured Replies

It's the grand finale car show for the HCCP (Historic Car Club of Pennsylvania).

It will be held on the grounds of Delaware County Community College in Media, PA.

Unless it gives me trouble, I'll be driving the '38 Dodge to this event.

It would be great to see some C&G folks there.

Gonna be in the basement of a dingy, filthy dive of a bar, watching my son's band hopefully advance to stage 3 of the battle of the bands contest.

That's another fine way to spend a sunday, Balthy.

I love live music.

Anyway, the show starts at 10:00 AM.

I hope to find some goodies at the flea market.

Thanks for the info, I will see what I can do. There is a car show today in my area that was moved from August, and it usually has 350+ cars/trucks. It's a bit windy today, and I think I may have an upper respiratory infection starting, so maybe I'll go to Media tomorrow instead. DO you have a link to the clubs website so I can get show info (times, addresses, etc)?

Well, I'm off to go wake up the Dodge.

Looks like it will be a good day for the show.

I hope it's a good day out there, Camino. I'd like to come over, but I'm short on money this week.

I can relate to the short on money thing, 'blu!

It was a really good show - huge variety.

Lots of brass era cars, at least 4 Stanley steamers, a gorgeous V16 dual-cowl Cadillac Phaeton from 1930, commercial vehicles (including 2 Mack trucks), at least 5 Colonnade cars, A huge section of national show winners, a chalk-mark perfect LS6 Chevelle SS, a '53 Jag driven to the show by its 99 year-old original owner, a full-on Maverick race car, a purple Gremlin with side pipes, a Triumph GT6, a TR3, a Sunbeam Tiger, some gorgeous E-types, Hot rods of all eras...

Gorgeous day too, if a bit windy at the end.

Looking forward to pics. and highly jealous of the 99 year oid guy who bought the 53 Jag....E types would have been nice.

And I have huge respect for brass era cars.

So, the old lady got you there and back in one piece? Cool. Waiting for pictures.

Actually, the Dodge crapped out at the second-to-last turn getting there - had to wait an hour or so for a jump start.

It did fine on the way home though.

And I'm very sorry to say that I didn't get pics this time around.

There were just under 500 cars there, and I ran out of time before seeing the last of them.
