Holy mother of hell... that is really one of those one in a million things.

His wife looks a littl ebit like an ex of mine... I thought it was strange how he said the tape was "disgusting"? Damn it's pretty cool IMHO esp. since he came out mostly unscathed. I guess his perspective is not one of a demolition derby fanatic with Adrenaline-addiction.

I think cutting the roof off and placing the tire on the passenger seat makes it seem worse than it was.

Damn...and I wanna know how that tractor-trailor got so out of control...I mean that was just ridiculous!

Cell phone, duh.

Yeah, I was going to say they cut it open wiht the jaws of life to pry him out... still the hit on video was evidence enough that the guy should not have lived through that. Between hitting the concrete median wall, being pushed inot it by the 18-wheeler and getting rear ended by the bus it was a nasty hit. I wouldn't expect to survive that in a small car of the TT's size if it was older. Like my Datsun or any old Honda or J-car or what have you.

As a kid I remember seeing a sky-blue K-car get crushed by and 18-wheeler when it jacknifed and the family inside was killed instantly.. the car just popped and flattened like a water balloon.

The size of the TT is what saved him. As he was behind the wheels of the semi and in the open area of the trailor he was hit by the bus which pushed him under the semi. If he would have been in a higher riding car or SUV he would have likely been decapitated. Good job with that car Audi, I am sure this will help this guy sell a few more cars. But he seemed rather down to earth about it. Best of luck to him

I actually wouldn't doubt it. I can't begin to tell you what I see on the LIE (which is where it happened). The traffic was psychotic.

Still amazed he's fine.

Oh man. Imagine if he was driving a different car like an Aveo or a Kia.

I have a new-found respect for Audi.
