March 27, 200619 yr During the ongoing conference call regarding U.S. sales update it was mentioned that the GMT900 pick-ups will begin production in 6 months. Production on the current GMT800's will "wind down" and GMT900 production of pick-ups will begin. The first of the models will be the crew cabs, with heavy duty sales beginning later in 2007.
March 27, 200619 yr Six months put the Silverado on course for a release in September with debut at Texas State Fair in October with sales starting imediately thereafter. OH BOY!!! WHen can orders begin????
March 27, 200619 yr Refresh my memory: When does the Avalanche start production? Is it lumped in with the SUV production schedule?
March 28, 200619 yr Good..I've noticed the older trucks not moving much at all.... Sounds like there will be some good end of summer deals...
March 30, 200619 yr The Texas State Fair will probably be the intro for the Chevy Trucks. I predict that the new LA Auto Show to be held in November will be the sight of the new GMC line up to include the new trucks and Acadia. This fall is going to be a good one for GM.

This fall is going to be a good one for GM. you're probably right on the Acadia. A sign of the fundamental changes at GM is how it has completely eschewed old practices of showing sketches, prototypes, production vehicles way too early. Getting the hopes of the public and then underdelivering. The way to do it is underpromise and overdeliver.
