Car air freshioner

Featured Replies

I was wondering what is a really good air freshioner you guys like to use. I always use the trees that dangle and I have tried that one that clips on your vent and it has that liquid that evaporates in the air. But what ones are the best... I hate walking to my car and having it reak like whatever it does sometimes reaks of marjuana when I hotbox it on the weekends but mainly I just want something strong those damn trees that hang from the mirror only last a couple days with the strong smell I like.

Hmm... I don't like air fresheners. They're always too potent for me. I just let my car smell, well, clean. Then again, I don't smoke, eat in the car, drink in the car, etc.

I use Febreeze once a week. It does wonders on smells.

They are T A C K Y. My opinion, and I have many. Just keep your car clean and keep the fresh air circulating through it when you can.

Don't remember what it's called, but it's a little blue rubbery stick thing that slips into your air vent. It's a ncie enough smell, but I get it because it's blue and matches some of my car's details. A little powerful when it's new and the air is blowing at your face, but it's beats a dangling pine tree. Heh-heh, "Dangling Pine Tree", I have all their albums... :P

I do this same thing when i decided to use an airfreshener although i usually prefer to just keep it so clean that a freshener is not needed. i am anal when it comes to a clean car. nothin but water in my rides, i think it makes a huge difference

the yankee candle fresheners. You can get them at hallmark around here. I prefer the "clean cotton" or "fresh cotton" i donno exactly what they call it, but i think it has something to do with cotton or laundry. I would suggest opening it and letting it air out for a couple days before you put it in your car though, they are REALLY strong. I don't use fresheners often though. Only when it has been really wet out and i've been tracking dirty water into the car. Oh and cleaning your vehicle with mothers always leaves the vehicle smelling real nice.

I like to use sheets of Bounce fabric sheets. You know the sheets you put in your dryer to make your clothes smell good and eliminated static? I put one on the top of each sunvisor and I put one under each seat in my truck.

Hidden and not as tacky as a tree or something hanging from your mirror.

No fresheners for me. I clean the leather every car with Mother's Reflections cleaner/conditioner. That's all the smell I need...reminds me of the way it smelled when I picked it up. It's the smell of accomplishment, and of satisfaction as a result of that accomplishment.

No Febreze for me. I hate the smell and regardless of what they claim, it only seems to mask odors with an even less-appealing scent.

The air-vent clip-on fresheners look even worse than the pine trees in my opinion, the only advantage being that obviously you can't see them from outside.

I prefer to actually just clean my interior so it's genuinely clean rather than just smelling clean. I use Sonus cockpit detailer on the dash, Armor All on rubber, and 303 Carpet and Upholstery cleaner on rugs and seats.

When all else fails...yes, there's a mini pine tree hanging from my mirror. Preferably orange, strawberry, or coconut. 8)

I use the "classic" pine tree air fresheners.... usually the yellow vanilla variety but sometimes I go with the regular green (pine) smell. Like a few others I also febreze on occasion.

The Cadillac STS & Infiniti both have that Leather smell... esp. the Q45. Just today I remember stepping inside and feeling so pleasant. It smells like a really expensive piece of leather furniture.
