I purchased this magazine a couple of weeks back and wanted to share some of the interesting (at least to me :P ) pictures of GM vehicles modeled in 1/24th scale:

I was a little disappointed that no one submitted a modified Chevy truck model ('55-'57) into a GMC this year. Usually at least one '55 or '57 converted GMC appears in teh past years editions.

I wish I had the skill to make models. I have several unopened kits of cars I wish I could build. Back in '90 or '91, I paid a kid from Texas to build three model kits for me - a '69 Olds Cutlass 442, a '91 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, and a '55 Chevy Cameo (the only one I still have; the Olds was destroyed by my dad in an accident and I don't recall the deal with the T/A GTA). He did a great job and I wish I still had his contact info, as I have procured some resin parts to convert some AMT/ERTL '55 and '57 Chevy pickups (one stepside, one Cameo) into '55 and '57 GMC trucks.

I give those model builders above, and the many others in the magazine, a ton of credit for their artistic talent.

It's a good issue...I've been reading Scale Auto for over 20 years.

Holy cow ... me, too!

Amen. Those are absolutely amazing. Glad you shared this here, Roger ... thank you!
