March 23, 201114 yr Author Um, and your choice is...? That would be a helpful addition, wouldn't it? Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I figure it'll be the cheapest to fix of those I've looked at and its also received better reliability ratings than most of those. It's certainly a step down in comparison, but it's something I can still enjoy. It might even be a bit nostalgic for me since I was a big Pontiac fan years back.
March 23, 201114 yr Correct. Supercharged is the only way to go. I can't imagine anything that might have swayed your mind recently....
March 23, 201114 yr Now I can say it was the choice I hoped you'd make. Good luck finding one. They're cheap, reliable, and can be some fun. If you can keep your foot out of it, they get pretty good gas mileage too.
March 23, 201114 yr I'm hoping to find a nice orange one... Isn't that a fairly late color? IIRC that color was available earlier on in production (2005 or so)...
March 23, 201114 yr Popular Post I must have missed something, are you growing a mullet or joining a sorority?
March 23, 201114 yr IIRC that color was available earlier on in production (2005 or so)... Yes. It was available from 2004-2006 I believe. I think it wears red very well too. Those wheels look great on it in BV's pic, but just about anything would be an improvement over the stockers that GM offered.
March 24, 201114 yr IIRC that color was available earlier on in production (2005 or so)... Yes. It was available from 2004-2006 I believe. I think it wears red very well too. March 24, 201114 yr Author I must have missed something, are you growing a mullet or joining a sorority? Probably both. I can do that, after all. Yes. It was available from 2004-2006 I believe. I think it wears red very well too. Those wheels look great on it in BV's pic, but just about anything would be an improvement over the stockers that GM offered. My top three choices for color would be 1) Fusion Orange, 2) Black, and 3) Sport Red. If I have my way, a set of these will make their way onto it eventually:
March 24, 201114 yr Black cars are a bitch to keep clean. Silver Grand Prix always look clean, but its a boring color.
March 24, 201114 yr If I have my way, a set of these will make their way onto it eventually: Hah! Those are the very wheels I want someday. That is if I can't get a hold of Caliber SRT4 wheels. Mille Miglia makes some great wheel designs (they're the makers of my current wheels).
March 24, 201114 yr Correct. Supercharged is the only way to go. I can't imagine anything that might have swayed your mind recently.... +1
March 25, 201114 yr Black cars are a bitch to keep clean. They sure are, but they look the best when they are clean. Edited March 25, 201114 yr by Turbojett
April 6, 201114 yr Mustang or Eclipse Coupe With a spoiler With that upkick in the rear quarter window edit: not an eclipse....
April 6, 201114 yr Mustang or Eclipse Coupe With a spoiler With that upkick in the rear quarter window edit: not an eclipse.... Window is too small to be a Mustang...I'm thinking Impala or Subaru Legacy. Hmmm...looks like frameless doorglass, so Legacy seems more likely.. Edited April 6, 201114 yr by Cubical-aka-Moltar
April 6, 201114 yr Subaru Legacy it is. A fine choice for your area of the country and your job, with all-weather capability. Prease post pictures ASAP.
April 7, 201114 yr plus one The stripe might indicate an older, gentler driver beforehand... a good thing for any subsequent owner. But I'd have my hairdryer out immediately upon getting it home. I hope this is the car that gets you out of your automotive doldrums, Viper, so you can concentrate on other things that interest you. Good luck!
April 7, 201114 yr Tires look alright, but make sure you carry pepper spray because you'll have to fight off bull dykes left and right in that thing.
April 7, 201114 yr Tires look alright, but make sure you carry pepper spray because you'll have to fight off bull dykes left and right in that thing. na, that's the wagon
April 7, 201114 yr I definitely have seen more than just a few "Legacy Lesbians." Why does this matter to anything that is in this thread?
April 7, 201114 yr Why does this matter to anything that is in this thread? Because it clearly is in reply to the previous posts above mine by Oldsmoboi and Chris_Doane. Next question? Tires look alright, but make sure you carry pepper spray because you'll have to fight off bull dykes left and right in that thing. na, that's the wagon He didn't get an Outback or Forester... I definitely have seen more than just a few "Legacy Lesbians."
April 7, 201114 yr I definitely have seen more than just a few "Legacy Lesbians." This reminds me..I went to grad school w/ one that drove a Justy. Haven't seen a Subaru Justy in years..
April 7, 201114 yr Corey congratulations. Is it the GT with turbo or the Limited with V6? Did you get manual transmission? Give us some details. The GT with 6 speed manual transmission was a blast to drive.
April 8, 201114 yr Oh my... it's a Subaru, so it's a flat 4 or a flat 6, AKA "boxer" engine. And I'm betting lesbians look for serious machinery, the Legacy is serious, capable and sturdy.
April 8, 201114 yr Author Some details... 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Limited... 5spd manumatic... Boxer-4 turbo... Loaded with everything but navigation. Had a brief photoshoot yesterday, so I'll have some pictures up soon enough.
April 8, 201114 yr Wow, based on that description you really lucked out then. I'm sure this one will last you a good long while.
