Ah, so I see Autoblog is reporting that a Hyundai Elantra coupe will be available for sale in the Spring of 2011. Wait... when? That's just a few short months away!

Here's the thing. GM can't even get the cruze sedan to the US without a 3 year delay, they can't even get the hatchback here to go with it!

Well the 5 door Cruze has to be tested for 2 years abroad before they can be confident the 800lb (bringing the Cruze weight up to an even 4000lbs) hatch door operates as designed in both the closing and opening directions... If that goes well, they can be sure it's ready for the US market.. expect a 3 door a few years after that, by then it will be named something different.
