What's That I See?

Okay, it's a safe bet that Rod Hatfield Chevy in Lexington, KY paid to rip off the melody of some popular rap song for their annoying jingle ... but I wonder if they paid Mr. Loizou of GM Inside News to use his nifty old 'chop of a future Malibu in their local ad spot here?

I didn't record this video, so don't blame me for the shoddy camera work. Anyway, pause the video at the 1 to 2 second mark.

Yep. It's this:

What's even more hilarious besides the fact that there could be a potential, small shiitstorm brew up over this is that no one cared to realize that this isn't an actual GM product.

The internets have become reality I guess.

The dingdong that made this commercial probably couldn't spot the difference between that and an actual Malibu.

At the speed the video rolls 99% of the viewers won't notice it's not the current Malibu..besides, who watches TV commercials anymore?

Assumedly the 30 million + that have satellite TV occasionally catch a few.

That looks like it could be morphed into a decent Monte Carlo if you made it a coupe with some appropriate side sculpting.

It'll never be a Malibu as the trunk is too long for the current trends.

Looks to me like it's supposed to be RWD, which would explain the tailfeathers.
