April 6, 200619 yr exciting stuff, what is the time difference from australia to central time? They are 17 hours ahead. So it's 6:18 AM, tomorrow morning, in Australia.
April 6, 200619 yr exciting stuff, what is the time difference from australia to central time? Right now it is 2:21 a.m. in Sydney Oz (according to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=240 ) It's 12:21 p.m. EDT hear in Orlando. Noon in Sydney, Australia would be in about 10 hours... EDIT: Damn, chazman beat me. But I did include the link so I still get one point. Edited April 6, 200619 yr by bdubsee
April 6, 200619 yr They are 17 hours ahead. So it's 6:18 AM, tomorrow morning, in Australia. Doesn't Australia have multiple time zones? If my calculations are right for Sidney, we could looking at VE tonight. Sydney is GMT+10 and East USA is GMT-4 so this part of Oz is 14 hours ahead of us. Midday Australia = 12 GMT+10 = 10 p.m. EDT. I remember getting some email from Holden and calculating they were 17 hours ahead.
April 6, 200619 yr Ooh, it's almost a Christmas in April. well we also had it in january... the more the Merrier?
April 7, 200619 yr Nice car but it does not look new. UMM. those are only computer generated images...which means these are chops/rendering of what they think it will look like.
April 7, 200619 yr UMM. those are only computer generated images...which means these are chops/rendering of what they think it will look like. Exactly.
April 7, 200619 yr Here's to hoping for a good deal of inspiration is carried over from the Torana concept.
April 7, 200619 yr Other than the Origami edging - they look hot to me...I just hope they arrive here in all forms...Ute, Four Door, Wagon, and rwd/AWD...oh to have choices at the GM dealerships again!
April 7, 200619 yr Interesting..I wonder if the new Commodore will be badged as a Chevy Lumina in the Middle East like the current model...
April 7, 200619 yr Ehh...I don't really like it that much. It looks like it has an Audi A6/Ford Five Hundred greenhouse with an '07 Sentra beltline and a Volkswagen Phaeton/Jetta front end. Hopefully the real deal looks better. + +
April 7, 200619 yr It's just a concept rendering, so I'm not sure how closely it matches the production model, but it looks pretty generic... the front air dam and rear wing look tacked on and kind of '80s/90s looking. Not that interesting styling-wise..
April 7, 200619 yr didnt we already get to see this thing a while back... and to me it looked kinda bloated, more so then the Goat we got now for the GTO... http://www.drive.com.au/editorial/article....vf=2&bg=32&pp=0 yep i remember seeing that thing, with some camo over it... not the best imo
April 7, 200619 yr What platform is the Statesman on? There is an article in the same paper that shows the new Statesman and how they are going to differentiate it and the Commodore. Is the Statesman a Sigma? http://www.drive.com.au/editorial/article.aspx?id=11335
April 7, 200619 yr Looks like an Acura TSX.. at first i thought it was one with some sort of "different" styling. Guess it looks alright I guess.. but it just looks like an Acura too much. Edited April 7, 200619 yr by gm_rocks
April 7, 200619 yr Did anyone notice some of the lines on the side and wheel wells look like the drawing MT has last summer. I don't teally care what the holden looks like since it is not sold here. I will wait till the new NA designs are shown before I complain. Keep in mind the Suburban and H2 may share the same base but differ greatly. Here is the MT drawing, hard to say what all has changed on the GTO since but the wheel wells look similar
April 7, 200619 yr Why is this still on the front page?. Clearly there is no picture of the real thing yet so why bother with this mess.
April 7, 200619 yr Author Why is this still on the front page?. Clearly there is no picture of the real thing yet so why bother with this mess. Because it is the most recent information available.
April 8, 200619 yr Because it is the most recent information available. But the problem is this is only renderings of what its supposed to look like and pretty poor ones at that.
April 8, 200619 yr What platform is the Statesman on? There is an article in the same paper that shows the new Statesman and how they are going to differentiate it and the Commodore. Is the Statesman a Sigma? http://www.drive.com.au/editorial/article.aspx?id=11335 From that article, it sounds like it's just a LWB version of the VE Commodore...different trim and sheetmetal, same dirty bits.
April 8, 200619 yr Author From that article, it sounds like it's just a LWB version of the VE Commodore...different trim and sheetmetal, same dirty bits. Yup, that's what the Statesman has always been, but the designation is WM instead of VE. Still a Zeta.
April 8, 200619 yr front looks like a jap-a-nees car, the greenhouse is stretched malibu and the far rear looks like the butt end of the caliber.
April 10, 200619 yr I'm liking the angular styling and clean lines. I hate to say it but there's a bit of 1999 - 2002 Honda Accord Coupe Styling there. RWD and nice selection of V6 and V8 engines will make these cars winners in thier respective markets. Esp. if there's an AWD option acros the board. Hope the Elcamino & Impala Estate are a reality, as well as a few RWD products for Pontiac & Buick.
