March 16, 201115 yr Linky This 2002 Focus Wagon is an ex SEMA show car showcasing the engineering innovations of Kugel Komponents, and was a Display Car at Ford Corporate in Dearborn, Mi. Never completed, never driven. It has been featured in many magazine articles, despite having never run. On the outside, an unassuming 2002 Ford Focus station wagon, albiet with SVT rims: But pop the hood, and reel back in shock as you're greeted by a 4.6L quad-cam Cobra motor: But it doesn't end there. It's been converted to RWD with a 5-speed transmission, 8.8:1 rear end, and coilovers: And, just as a strange aside, I thought it was funny that the title-holder lives in "$h!tier," CA : It doesn't run, and still needs some electrical and other work done (not to mention oil) to get it there, but basically all the components are in place, and it's almost ready to run. I'd love to know just how much power it makes as well. The sleeper potential is astounding.
March 16, 201115 yr Author There's a place called "$h!tier"??? LOL it's Whittier. He just swirl-blurred only the first letter for some reason.
March 17, 201115 yr Is this using the Roush V8 bolt-in kit? That would have made the most sense. But considering this is incomplete, I imagine its not. Roush has been making V8 Focii since 1999 or so. The kit is $5K.

March 21, 201115 yr Interesting idea..too bad it was never finished. Speaking of performance wagons, I wonder if Ford ever built a SHO wagon as a prototype back in the day..that would have been cool...I guess the '11 equivalent would be a Flex SHO or Explorer SHO..

Word is that Ford and C&D collaborated on a one-off SHO wagon years ago. I've never seen any pictures though.
