I'm trying to type this with my left hand since my right wrist is imobilized. Made a rare trip to see a doctor today to confirm the bad news I already thought was coming my way. Right now, I can't do any of the things I usually do to make a living and am supposed to start some harsh physical therapy after "resting" my arm for several weeks.

This is not in the budget.

Worse, it is spring and my best chance to generate some decent level of income just evaporated.

Sometimes things just suck.

Sorry for not getting back to you, Olds. Been a bit fixated on this.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, you're not the only C&G member suffering from medical problems... almost three weeks ago I was stricken by gout in my left foot. I was unable to walk from 2/27 until 3/3 without crutches, and was able to 'get' a shoe on my foot on on 3/5 (very painfully). I just started feeling better about a day and a half ago (swelling has completely gone now), and today is the first day I didn't take an Indomethicin pill (anti-inflammatory). I go tonight to my docotor for follow-up, had bloodwork done Tuesday to determine what my uric acid levels are (the cause of gout). I've suffered from this on-and-off (left & right feet and right knee) for nearly 6 years now :(

If anyone feels your pain, it's me. Here's to a speedy recovery :)

Thanks Roger, I'm not sure what i'll do about this.

It's coming out of my nearly-empty pocket while it prevents me re-filling said pocket.

I've been overtraining at the gym and I did something to make my right hip super painful when walking...oops. Yet, off to the gym I keep going. Gotta keep the calorie deficit in full swing...

Gah, horrible development, Camino. I hope it passes much quicker than anticipated so you can get back to a (hopefully) busy routine.

Ugh, worst workout of the year yesterday...gotta figure out what's up with my hip flexor...

Camino, do you know what caused your tennis elbow? My mother had it for a time because she brushed her teeth too vigorously, too frequently. No joke.

Many years of working with my hands is the culprit. The Doc says it will likely happen again...

Stop Masturbating.

One a serious note, I hope it gets better and you do not have to do any surgery.

I didn't even know you played tennis, who knew? :smilewide:

I can imagine. Being told you can't do something must offend your libertarian sensibilities.

It's a bit more existential than that.
