April 7, 200619 yr Here are some photo's of the new SSB Pontiac Solstice racer in SCCA. These were taken by a member of the Solstice Forum at the Indy Speedway for a GM ride and Drive event for March Madness. The car is expected in the SSB SCCA class and will receive factory support if past stories hold true. It will be fun to watch the Solstice compete against the Miata for braging rights! April 7, 200619 yr yes that is VERY cool! I like how they used the buttress as the fasteners for the hard top
April 7, 200619 yr Now I see something: Why does the steering wheel look like it has a Saturn badge on it?
April 8, 200619 yr i like those racing stripes....even more if they were in a color that didn't stand out so much
April 8, 200619 yr Looks sweet. Hopefully, the Kappa platform will make a name for itself in road racing.
April 8, 200619 yr Looks sweet. Hopefully, the Kappa platform will make a name for itself in road racing. I heard John Heinrency will drive it, so if thats true it will win at the Run-offs (SCCA National Championships) in September. Raybob ex SCCA Asedan Camaro Racer.
April 8, 200619 yr That paint job is gawdawful, esp. in with those electric shaver grilles. Perhaps reversed it might look good. I like the concept of accentuating the Arrowhead.
April 8, 200619 yr Author I like the paint job, but the suspension looks really high... almost rally-ish. If I recall correctly they have to use stock parts and springs on the suspension. SCCA SSB rules limit things like lowering etc.
