I'm not really into piercings and tattoos, but for a little while now I've been thinking about getting a tattoo of my children's names & birth dates (something simple) and thought it would be a nice upcoming father's day gift for myself.

So basically I decided that I wanted to find a Latin verse and get it tattooed with my children's names & birth dates below it. I'm thinking of this, and would like anyone who knows & understands Latin to make sure this is correct:

amāre ad infinitum (love without end)

I don't trust Google completely with this, as I won't have the money needed to remove it if incorrect

I don't know Latin, but knowing French, Italian and Spanish, I'm concerned with "ad". That generally means "to/at", not "without". I'd bet it would be: sine.

EDIT: Had to change speak to know as no one really "speaks" much Latin these days :AH-HA:

My Latin is not acceptable... but just a few comments... I think his translation of 'without end' is coming from 'infinitum', not 'ad infinitum'... if you subbed in the 'sine', you'd have to remove the 'in'.... 'sine finitum'. But I am awful at this.

Ah, interesting. Well, if you decide you'd like it in Italian or Spanish, send me a message LOL

T. and P. were never my thing, but if the spirit moves you, go for it.

Just make sure about your language research first.

I have a tattoo of a phoenix on my back. Trust me, if I weren't into buying guitars, spiffing up my daily driver, and just staying broke all around I'd have a few more of them. If you go to the right place, it's a painless process. I know it was for me and I had a needle flirting with my spine the entire time.

I have three tattoos and I am thinking about getting them removed actually. They've gotten all blurry and faded over the years.

If you do get those things written, do them in a clear font that will withstand fading and bleeding over time.
