May 28, 201114 yr ...cat-back exhaust systems for my 1995 Tahoe 2-door. I would like to find a dual-outlet system, and though I have seen these trucks with such systems, I can't seem to find them listed anywhere. I have seen systems like that listed for shortbed/regular cab pickups - I'm guessing that these will fit, no?
May 28, 201114 yr There's a fantastic, highly professional, very reasonably-priced exhaust shop in Ephrata, PA called Red Run. They did my Sierra exhaust WHILE I WAITED, and it was beautifully done. They used stainless pipes, welded in the Flowmaster and the polished tips. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat of America.

Now that's some good information! If not for the Tahoe, then for other projects. I hate dealing with exhaust so much that stainless is a real temptation.
May 28, 201114 yr IIRC, they charged me $425 for the whole job... they bend their own stuff and custom make everything.
May 29, 201114 yr Ocn, did they weld the entire system? Or did they leave some mechanical fasteners so you can remove it without a sawzall?
May 29, 201114 yr I had to review pictures, but yes, it was attached to the stump of the original system with a clamp.
May 29, 201114 yr Punch-bent or mandrel ? (thinking punch for $425)... I had to google photos of pipe bending machines, but I think it was a mandrel type, based on what I remember from 4 years ago. I cannot find a dedicated website for the shop. They're Mennonites, highly religious and humble, most of their advertising is word of mouth.
May 29, 201114 yr Has to be the same shop I've been hearing whispers about for years. You know, the name does seem familiar. Perhaps High Performance Pontiac used them for some exhaust work or something.
May 30, 201114 yr Author Whenever the talk among car guys went to custom exhaust around here, there always seems to be someone who says "better go to Lanacaster County for that". I never have, but perhaps I should.
May 30, 201114 yr menonites... sounds kinda like seth green's role in "sex drive", which if you don't care about the main plot, it's actually hilarious.
June 1, 201114 yr IIRC, they charged me $425 for the whole job... they bend their own stuff and custom make everything. Sounds like the Toronado may be taking a trip to Ephrata...

The exhaust note on your Sierra was perfect, and I have never forgotten this information you told me that day at Camino's barn (that you had a Menonites do it for you in Lancaster). I'm glad you shared the name of the shop finally I may have to consider them for either the Envoy or a future purchase down the road.
June 23, 201114 yr Author Got distracted by the Vette, but I really am going to have to deal with this soon. I may ask my neighbor to just weld-up the existing system for now.
June 23, 201114 yr Someday I'm going to need a scratch-built, X-piped, 3" system built that conforms to the B-59s chassis.
